About Rocky Mountain Equality

Rocky Mountain Equality (RMEQ) is an LGBTQ nonprofit that supports communities across Colorado through programming, services, and advocating for policies that ensure LGBTQ people, families, and communities thrive. RMEQ is the only LGBTQ organization in Colorado that provides direct services to the community and engages in advocacy at all levels of government.


Overview

We are seeking experienced and affirming photographers to capture our events for the remainder of 2025 and in 2026. The right partners will help us not only document the joy and energy of these gatherings but also provide high-quality photos we can use to promote future events and share the story of our work.


Scope of Work

  • Provide photography services at RMEQ events throughout the year, including fundraisers, community events, and Pride celebrations.

  • Capture a mix of candid and posed photos that highlight the spirit, diversity, and vibrancy of our community.

  • Deliver a curated collection of edited, high-resolution digital images for each event.

  • Deliver final images within 5 days of each event. Please indicate your standard turnaround time in your proposal.


Qualifications

  • Must be LGBTQ+ affirming; experience working with LGBTQ+ communities is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in event photography and with diverse people.

  • Strong portfolio that shows ability to capture energy, emotion, and community.


Proposal Requirements

Please include the following in your proposal:

  1. A brief introduction about you and your photography style.

  2. Portfolio or sample work.

  3. Your pricing structure for covering events.

  4. Your standard timeline for photo delivery after events.

  5. References.


Timeline

  • RFP release date: 10/2/25

  • Proposals due: 5pm MT on 10/24/25
