Training for Agencies: Free LGBTQ+ cultural competency training for law enforcement and legal professionals. Includes gender identity, bias-motivated crime, inclusive report writing, and more.

LGBTQ Liaison Network: 36 trained liaisons across 14 agencies, and growing, collaborate quarterly to share best practices and support survivor-centered responses.

Community Contacts: A catalog of LGBTQ-affirming reporting options, victim advocacy resources, and law enforcement contacts.

Community Engagement and Workshops: Public forums to talk about what safety really means for LGBTQ+ people—and how agencies can respond.
In 2022, RMEQ, with the help of the Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, was one of the first two LGBTQ+ organizations to receive funding from the Center of Prevention Programs and Partnerships to dedicate staff time and resources to increasing community safety and combatting hate.
RMEQ is able to continue to provide education and advocacy in local law enforcement agencies through the Prevention of Identity Based Violence funding form the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
