Advocating for the LBGTQ+ Community

in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Region.

Rocky Mountain Equality Action Fund (RMEQ AF) is a 501(c)(4) organization dedicated to advocating for the LGBTQ+ community across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. Our mission is to influence policy and support candidates in support of LGBTQ+ individuals through education, grassroots organizing, and lobbying efforts.

At RMEQ AF, we are committed to creating a more inclusive and equitable society for LGBTQ+ people through education, candidate endorsements, and lobbying.

ABOUT
RMEQ AF

2026 ENDORSED CANDIDATES

As LGBTQ+ communities continue to face cruel and targeted political attacks at the federal level, in statehouses, and on the ballots across the country, Colorado voters will have an opportunity in the 2026 primary to elect leaders committed to equality and inclusion.

Ahead of the Democratic Party county caucuses and state assembly, Rocky Mountain Equality Action Fund has endorsed candidates in several races for the June 2026 Colorado primary election.

As a 501(c)(4) organization, donations to RMEQ AF are non-tax deductible. However, your contributions are vital in sustaining our advocacy efforts.

To support our work, please consider making a donation. Together, we can continue to champion the rights and well-being of LGBTQ+ individuals throughout the Rocky Mountain region.

If you prefer to make a tax-deductible donation to support Colorado's LGBTQ+ community, we encourage you to contribute to our partner organization, Rocky Mountain Equality (RMEQ).

OUR

IMPACT

Through our collaborative efforts with partners like Rocky Mountain Equality (RMEQ), we have achieved significant milestones, including:

  • 2024 Ballot Initiative Opposition:
In partnership with the Freedom for All Coloradans coalition and One Colorado, we successfully opposed ballot initiatives aimed at banning transgender girls from participating in girls' sports and requiring educators to notify parents of any perceived "gender incongruence." Our collective efforts ensured that these initiatives did not gather enough signatures to appear on the November 2024 ballot.

  • 2024 Freedom to Marry Constitutional Amendment:
As a part of the Freedom to Marry Colorado coalition, we successfully passed a constitutional ballot amendment to remove the outdated ban on same-sex marriage in the constitution. This means that Colorado will continue to be a state where everyone has the freedom to marry the person they love, regardless of what happens on the federal level.
