PARENT & FAMILY PROGRAMS
Rocky Mountain Equality (RMEQ) is committed to strengthening families through parent support, fun family events, and educational opportunities designed to celebrate and support LGBTQ+ children and their parents.
Our peer-led support groups provide a space for parents to connect and share their experiences, ensuring that no parent feels alone on this journey. We provide educational opportunities that equip parents with practical guidance and resources, empowering them to confidently advocate for their children in all areas of life. RMEQ's family-focused events foster connection, celebrate identity, and provide an affirming community. Together, we create a community where every family can thrive.
PARENT & CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUPS
RMEQ offers meaningful support for parents and families of LGBTQ+ children through peer-led social support groups. These groups create a safe, welcoming space for parents to connect, share their stories, and ask questions in a judgment-free environment.
Our parent groups provide community and encouragement, offering a place to exchange advice, offer emotional support, and learn together how to best support their children. Both our in-person and virtual groups meet monthly and are led by parents who understand the unique challenges of raising and supporting LGBTQ+ children. We have partnered with the leaders of Parenting the Rainbow, a local non-profit that creates community, provides support, and promotes resilience for families of trans, non-binary, and gender expansive children through programs, events, education, and advocacy.
While we refer to our support groups as "parent groups," please know that we encourage other guardians, caregivers, and family members committed to supporting rainbow children to join us.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Launching in 2025, RMEQ and Parenting the Rainbow are excited to collaborate on an educational speaker series designed for parents and families of queer and trans children.
We will feature a diverse lineup of speakers, including LGBTQ+ advocates, medical and mental health professionals, as well as experienced parents, all coming together to share valuable insights and practical advice.
The goal is to provide families with the tools and knowledge they need to support their children confidently and navigate challenges with compassion. Whether you're seeking guidance, community, or inspiration, this series will offer families the support they need to feel empowered and connected.
