TONANTZIN CEREMONY
December 12-13, 2025
Times differ for each day
Locations differ for each day
DETAILS:
As we approach the winter solstice, we remember and honor Tonantzin Tlaltipac, our Mother Earth, showing appreciation for what she has given us over the last year. The sun, Huitzilopochtli, shrinks to its smallest size in all year but will soon begin its return in size, strength, and power. Meanwhile, our Mother Earth rests and recharges in preparation for a new awakening. Through song, dance, prayer, and working with the flowers, we reconnect with the cycles of the seasons rejoicing in how they care for us as deserving creations of Quetzalcoatl and Cihuacoatl. Join the Indigenous Peoples Community Church and RMEQ for this ancient and traditional ceremony.
