This is a FREE yoga class open to all levels. Learn more about your instructor: Blake J. Stone, M.Div., (zhe, they, she) began teaching Queer Yoga classes in Boulder off and on since 2013 (originally for Sissy Sangha, later known as Queer Astrix) after finding it increasingly difficult to feel at home in the binary and heteronormative spaces of Boulder’s yoga studios. Zir classes are typically a hybrid between a slow flow and static yen postures with an emphasis on breath and beginner friendly alignment cues.

Zir teaching centers embodiment and the belief that queer people deserve spaces to reconnect with themselves and one another. Drawing from contemplative traditions, zir classes cultivate reflection, presence, and intention, often incorporating short readings from sacred or philosophical texts. Blake sees queer yoga practice as a kind of argonaut journey: imperfect fellow travelers navigating transformation, survival, and belonging together.
