In collaboration with the House of Ovis, Rocky Mountain Equality invites you to step onto the runway and learn about the history and art of runway and vogue performance at our upcoming Ballroom Culture workshop! This free event welcomes CSU students and community members ages 18 and up to learn, move, and celebrate queer and trans joy.

Historically, Ballroom has been a space for queer and trans people of color to gather and celebrate their identities when facing racism and oppression from cisgender, heteronormative societies, as well as white LGBTQ+ spaces. Houses would form based on the need for community, as QTPOC elders would care for young, homeless LGBTQ+ people.
