As LGBTQ+ communities continue to face cruel and targeted political attacks at the federal level, in statehouses, and on the ballots across the country, Colorado voters will have an opportunity in the 2026 primary to elect leaders committed to equality and inclusion.

Ahead of the Democratic Party county caucuses and state assembly, Rocky Mountain Equality Action Fund has endorsed candidates in several races for the June 2026 Colorado primary election.

Federal Endorsed Candidates

  • Julie Gonzales for U.S. Senate

  • Manny Rutinel for Congressional District 8

Statewide Endorsed Candidates

  • Phil Weiser for Governor

  • Michael Dougherty for Attorney General

  • Amanda Gonzalez for Secretary of State

  • Brianna Titone for State Treasurer

Colorado Legislature Endorsed Candidates

  • Karen McCormick for House District 11

  • Chris Floyd for House District 13

  • Chauncey Johnson for House District 17

  • Anil Pesaramelli for House District 19

  • Alexis Hoffkling for House District 23

  • Caitlin Sullivan for House District 27

  • Christopher VanDijk for House District 32

  • Kenny Nguyen for House District 33

The organization’s endorsements are based on the responses candidates submitted to a questionnaire and an interview with Rocky Mountain Equality Action Fund representatives. Candidates in key areas were invited to respond, and only those who voluntarily completed the questionnaire were considered for endorsement. Additional endorsements may be made as the June primary election draws closer and for the November general election.
