We Held Our Ground: What We Achieved in the 2025 Colorado Legislative Session

We know the attacks on LGBTQ+ rights aren’t slowing down — not nationally, and not here in Colorado. But this year, Rocky Mountain Equality showed up with clarity, strategy, and grit. And we didn’t do it alone.

We worked side-by-side with One Colorado and other partners to defeat all seven anti-LGBTQ+ bills introduced in Colorado this session. Every single one. And while we were on defense, we also moved things forward — helping pass nine pro-LGBTQ+ bills that are now either signed into law or awaiting the governor’s signature.

None of this was inevitable. It happened because our community organized, testified, wrote letters, showed up, and refused to be erased. It happened because we had each other’s backs.

Check out our full legislative wrap-up for what we stopped, what we passed, and what’s still ahead.

We held our ground — and in many ways, we gained ground — even in the midst of national attacks.
