DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

Join RMEQ in honoring the Mexican tradition of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) for an evening of celebration as we remember our loved ones that are no longer with us. In accordance with the tradition of Dia de los Muertos, we will be coming together to transform feelings of loss and grief into a celebration of life.

Bring photos of your loved ones and take this opportunity to welcome their memories and cherish the time spent together. Bring some of their favorite things (snacks, drinks, toys, flowers, etc.) to honor them.

The event will feature a local QTPOC advocate and leader who will share a nondenominational prayer followed by a discussion about Dia de los Muertos, grief, and how we relate to those we've lost. Then we will light candles, write letters/notes to loved ones, and have some personal time to process. Afterwards, we will have food, pan de muerto, and champurrado to enjoy together
